Hi there, I'm Abigail.
Or, you can call me Abby.
As a therapist, I am passionate about meeting my clients where they are at and supporting them in healing to connect with and embody their most authentic self.
My practice is grounded in a client-centered, trauma-informed and integrative lens, where I meet my clients from an attachment based frame, informed by somatic and mindfulness based perspectives. I hold a deep admiration for my clients in their process of learning to tolerate, heal, and connect with life through processing and exploring the impact their uniquely lived experiences have held on their sense of self and day to day functioning.
Apart from the tolls that come with living in this world where trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, being a highly sensitive or neuro-divergent person, and self-esteem related challenges seem to be more commonly known, I believe connecting with our authentic self is a way in which we can heal from the past and radically begin to live a more embodied life.
A little more about me...
Learning to let go, build empathy, and look within, in order to live most authentically beyond the internal defense systems I learned to survive with has been a huge part of my own healing journey.
For me, landing in therapy was an fairly intuitive, sometimes I say choice-less, choice I made for supporting myself in the pursuit of surviving and having a place to talk with someone about the challenges of my early life experiences. With a natural grit and softness, I find myself fortunate to have been drawn to therapy spaces beginning in my early childhood. Having someone to talk to and gain insight from, as well as someone to be curious with me about the way in which I was experiencing things has been an integral part of my healing, growth and ongoing mental health maintenance.
It is my greatest honor that I get to be a therapist and support others in healing, exploring and recovering from their most difficult experiences. I admire the vulnerability it takes to begin therapy and I encourage my clients to listen to what feels right to them as we work together.
